Many of these rescued artifacts are now being displayed in the stations. For example at Syntagma the upper level of the station hosts a permanent exhibition of objects found during the construction works. Apart from their archeological interest small concerts or photo exhibitions are taking place from time to time in various stations. All of them have been decorated with works from renowned Greek artists and classical music is often being played from the loudspeakers.
Τhe Athens Tram is a modern tram network system. It has 3 lines with a total of 48 stops. It starts at Syntagma and runs along the city’s Saronic Gulf coastline, connecting the city centre with the various beaches of the southern suburbs.

The bus and electric bus /trolley network in Athens is definitely the most extensive. It consists of about 300 bus lines and 25 trolley lines connecting all parts of the Athens Metropolitan Area.
