The Hellenic Motor Museum is a must for every car enthusiast

The exhibits of the Hellenic Motor Museum come from the private collection of Th. N. Charagionis, founder of the museum. It’s a unique collection including more than 110 cars ranging from classic models of established car manufacturers to models from companies that no longer exist. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions related to the automobile industry. 

The museum currently presents 112 exhibits in the space of 3,000 square meters creating the best car scene in Athens. 

Our journey begins in the old workshop from the 1930s, where visitors can discover items from a car repair shop from this period. All the items (and exhibits in general) are original and comprise a total of around 3,500 pieces. The workshop is fully equipped with several wooden workbenches, rooms for mechanical, electrical and upholstery repairs as well as a room for repairing or replacing wheels, tubes and tyres.

The cars that you see here today are fully functional and are frequently maintained by mechanic experts, to keep their engines “turning” and in the best possible condition. Avion Voisin, Adler, Packard, Delage, Iso, Dino, Lagonda, Siata, Bugatti, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Bristol, Lotus, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Mercedes, Porsche, BMW are some of the car industries whose cars are housed in the Museum.

Last admission is 1 hour before closing time. 

Admission to the Hellenic Motor Museum is already included in your Athens City Pass. Simply bring your QR code to the ticket office and receive your admission ticket.

You can find the museum in the heart of Athens, just a few minutes away from the National Archaeological Museum.
