While some of the items included with the pass were not the greatest (the hop-on, hop-off), the ship the line and the transit pass made our trip way better. People say everything is walkable in Rome, but after 65km of walking, I disagree! The transit pass saved our feet! And the skip the line saved us so much time and hassle! I do get the feeling we could have saved money by buying transit passes & attraction tickets separately, but this was easy and convenient.
The pass saves a lot of work, otherwise you do not have to worry about tickets or anything like that. Likewise, the skip the line is very practical and nerve sparing.
Well, Rome is really worth the trip! Thanks to the Rome Pass you could really shorten one or the other queue significantly. Excessive are the huge crowds ... and especially annoying the tons of street vendors, very unpleasant!
Turbopass was a lifesaver. I would definitely purchase it again. The Hop on Hop Off bus was a disappointment. We ended up never using it. Stops were few and far between. Some stops were closed.
It was a great experience with a lot of benefits! I recommend it!
With the Rome City Pass you are well taken care of, the most important is in it. I strongly recommend ordering the pass in advance and having it sent home. It was no longer enough for us and we had to pick up the passport in Rome, which was quite a tedious approach since we still had our suitcases with us and only found the shop where we could pick up the pass after inquiring. The directions are, I think, insufficient.
We found the pass easy to use and including the rail tickets was great
You definitely save a lot of time and nerves, since annoying queuing is eliminated. Everything you need for a trip to Rome. Is not exactly cheap.
The passport is worth a lot, just include a little more access descriptions for passport users organized on-site. For the sights in Rome a great relief. The Hopp Bus line is unfortunately the one that has at least vehicles. Should be improved.
We spent 3 days in Roma and took the 3 day city pass. All most famous monuments included and reductions for others, skip the line, free Vatican entry, free transport and tourist bus tour for a day included. Worth the price if you want to visit a lot some of the best Roma have to offer you.
All in all, the Rome City Pass was a very good investment. You do not have to worry about admission, transfer etc. on the spot. I give one star less, since the airport transfer takes extremely long. There is no shuttle offered, but a normal bus with which you have to change and it takes about 1.5 hours until you are in the city center. With a shuttle it would take 30min. It also annoyed me that you can only go on Saturdays with the Hop on-Hop off bus until 15 o'clock and on Sundays not at all.
I think there should be a French version. We had taken for 6 days (twice 72 hours). it is not the most profitable version. indeed a pass on 72 H is enough I think when we are with a child. The bus tour is not top
Basically, Rome City Pass is fine, but some attractions are not included. I think, from 3 days pass and the price of 100 € should be more in it - among other things. Drive to all airports.
However, we had to line up at St. Peter's Basilica and at the Colosseum and for the Villa Borghese we would have to make an appointment in advance despite the 6-day pass, too bad. I can still recommend it to everyone because it pays off in every way.
The tickets for public transport have helped a lot. The waiting times for the sights were bearable in this way (already because of the heat).
It was all great - the only thing that was not great: we sometimes waited a long time for the buses - because the others came more often - but otherwise well organized - definitely again
It was great if you could walk past the queue of people waiting in the heat. The Turbo Pass is not necessarily cheap but in hindsight it was the right decision for our first visit to Rome !!!
